Photo Friday – Happy New Year

2011 was another great year for us. We have to thank all of our great customers for the support they’ve given us this year. A big thanks goes out to all of our sponsored riders too for represent EighthInch and helping us test and develop new products. We have big plans going into 2012. There are some long awaiting parts that will finally be released along with some new things that have yet to be seen. Thanks again for all the continued support and we hope for even bigger things to happen in 2012!

EighthInch Photo Contest Results

Our photo contest came to a close last night. We had 62 photos submitted and it was a pretty tight race most of the way. In the end Harith Syahmi Adbul Aziz won with a final count of 626 likes and wins his choice of any EighthInch wheelset. With so many photos and votes we thought we would offer some consolation prizes. Check out the results below to see who won.

Bueller 26″ Wheel Preview

We met Jahrome out at the SF Bike Expo last month and hooked him up with a 26″ Bueller rim and hub. He was able to get it laced up over the weekend and posted a little teaser video. Check it out below and keep an eye out for more info on our 26″ Bueller wheels on Mashafix.

New Pro Model Polo Mallets Are Here!

We just got in our first batch of pro model polo mallets. We have gotten a lot of feedback on our original mallet and were able to make some major improvements. First off we got rid of the excess material to get the weight down to 80g. We also got rid of the center cup and replaced it with a large cutout. The overall width has narrowed to 130mm with markers to cut it to 125 or 120mm. The inner and outer diameters remain the same at 60mm and 50mm. The recessed screwholes have been moved to the side to minimize wear and still work with our EighthInch caps. The center sleeve is compatible with our 19mm polo shaft. Made from Nylon 6/6 these mallets hold up great and are covered by our Lifetime Replacement Plan if they ever wear out.

The mallets from this first batch are already spoken for but expect more stock to arrive in January.
