March Update

Our first order of business is to answer everyone’s burning question of “When will you have more Scrambler frames?”. To make a long store short we are hoping for May. We were hoping to have them in around February or March but our poor economy here is finally affecting the overseas markets and we recently found out the factory producing our frame has gone bankrupt. Luckily our broker over there is great and he has already found a new factory to produce them. It pushes things back but at least we know we’re getting more in. Once we get a more definite date on arrival we will open the store to pre-orders.

A lot of you have been asking about the street team also. Things have slowed a bit on that also. The company printing all of our promotional materials failed to deliver as well. We found another group that’s great and we’re hoping to have materials in soon. If you’d like to learn more about our street team check it out here. We’ve been working on a lot of things behind the scenes here over the winter that I think you’ll all really enjoy. We are finalizing the designs and placing final orders for our EighthInch brand parts so look for them in June. We also have a few more surprises in store with the Scrambler frames. Keep checking back to find out more. We are hoping this will be a big summer for us.

January Update

Happy New Year everyone and thanks for the great support this last year. Since we launched EighthInch.com this last fall things have really taken off. We’re adding new parts to our catalog every week to help give us the best selection out there. We have some great new things planned for this next year that we are all stoked about. A few things we can talk about and a few you’ll just have to wait and see.

For everyone who responded for the street team here is a little update. The gears are turning and we’ve gotten in a few of the promotional materials we ordered. We’re still waiting on stickers and are working out the final details but you should be expecting a welcome letter and the details on how we can make everything official for you in the coming week. If anyone else has interest in the street team here is the original post about it. Just email us if you’re interested at sales@eighthinch.com.

Our Scrambler frames have been selling unbelievably well. With that said the bad news is that we are starting to run out. 49 and 55cm frames are out of stock and most of the other sizes are dwindling. The next batch of frames will be arriving in March. We’ve been lucky enough to get some good feedback on these and have made a few modifications which include removed cable bosses, short reach brake compatibility, raised BB shell and nice surprise we’ll be announcing when delivery is about a month away.

Street Team In the Works

Greetings everyone. We’ve been pondering ways to get our name out to as many people as possible and came up with a great idea. Who better to promote us than our own satisfied customers. A lot of people out there want nice parts for their fixed gear but don’t know where to find them at a good price. With the help of you we can get our name out there for them.

It would work like any other street team. We would send out some free promotional materials; cards, flyers, stickers, etc for anyone who was interested. You could take them to your local hangouts where other riders tend to traffic and see if the business would let you put a stack out on their counter or wherever. You could pass them out to friends or do anything you want to help us get our name out there. In exchange for your services we would offer street team members first dibs on new incoming parts, special member only sales, and maybe even a few gifts along the way.
